Over a year ago, I purchased my first D Kurd handpan from Panstream, and its sound still leaves me in awe every time I play it.

The warmth, resonance, and depth of the instrument are simply breathtaking.
Mark is far more than a handpan maker he is an artist in every sense of the word. His mastery of tuning and ability to bring an instrument to life is extraordinary.

Every handpan he creates sound’s unique, carrying its own soul, character, and voice.

What makes the experience even more special is his humility and sincerity. There is no ego, only a genuine passion for helping others discover creativity, peace, and connection through music. That authenticity shines through in every instrument he makes.

It’s no surprise that Panstream instruments are respected and admired by players around the world.

Owning one feels less like buying an instrument and more like receiving a handcrafted piece of musical art that will stay with you for a lifetime.

I think I would like to purchase my next one from panstream…maybe at 432 hz.

I have owned my beautiful D Kurd 9+1 for about 3 weeks now so I thought it would be a good time to write my review
This is my first handpan I have owned and I am extremely happy with the quality of panstream instruments
It is beautiful made and perfectly tuned it is amazingly intuitive to play
Mark is an extremely skilled handpan maker
The selling point for me is the fact that Mark is a trained steel drum tuner he is the real deal so who better to buy from
Especially as I didn’t have any experience with handpans the fact that Mark is a very experienced maker of all steel drums and handpans left me feeling very confident that my handpan would be an amazing sounding instrument
I was definitely not disappointed
Once I paid my money they gave me a time scale and there it was delivered bang on time
I hope this review helps others looking to buy a handpan and are not sure where to start look no further you definitely won’t be disappointed

I can’t recommend Panstream enough. Mark is an incredible maker with decades of experience tuning steel. I own several of his instruments, including an E2 Voyager, D Celtic/Amara, F2 Low Pygmy and a G2 minor. Each one of these is an exceptionally beautiful handpan with superb clarity and balance of notes and a lovely sustain. I have played several of Mark’s new Discovery Series and can honestly say that in 10 years of playing and teaching handpan these instruments represent the best quality to price ratio of any handpan that I’ve played, and I would happily recommend them to any of my students. Whilst aimed at people starting out playing handpan, I am a professional musician and would happily perform on stage using a Discovery Series instrument. You simply cannot go wrong with a Panstream.

I love my mini! I got the 18″ Handan for my trips – it’s lighter, more compact, easier for me to handle as I’m quite petite, and still sounds fantastic!

Perfect balance of quality and price! I was looking for a good beginner instrument, and the PanStream D Kurd exceeded my expectations. Great tuning, lovely sustain, and feels amazing to play.
